Gesha Beans

A delightfully floral, flavour-dense cup with a classic silky Gesha body.

Nestled high in the cloud forests of Santa Clara, Renacimiento on the slopes of Panama’s highest peak Volcán Barú, Finca Santa Teresa is a shining light in the country’s specialty coffee scene. A regular entrant into the Best of Panama competition with more than a dozen awards in the past decade, the farm produces a range of premium varieties and cultivar on its rich volcanic soils. With high altitudes and weather systems driven by the Pacific and Atlantic down a series of ridges and valleys, each crop has had its own plot carefully selected for ultimate results.

Fields are cultivated with Gesha, Caturra, Catuai, Typica and Pacamara. A testament to the incredible growing conditions of the farm and the skill of the producers, each crop is cared for with an incredibly high level of skills, each needing its own special approach for the very best final profiles.

This year a special blend of the farm’s most loved Gesha lots has been created. Featuring Estribi, Manna, Sophie, Summer and Zorro, each one brings its own vibrant characteristics to the coffee, having been grown under natural shade covering but at different altitudes and orientations on the farm itself.

This washed lot is a celebration of the incredible flavour potential of Gesha, much like our own genre. An exploration of what is possible from this most famous of varieties, and a tribute to the outstanding work of Finca Santa Teresa.
